Two months has passed since the BSR opened the Building Control Inspector register with the deadline for all Building Control Professionals to be registered now less than four months away (April 2024).
The BSCF has seen a significant increase in website traffic since the register opened with over 10,000 page views this November (compared to just 1000 in 2022). Applications continue to come in from across England and Wales - with over 1700 currently in the system being processed.

GETTING YOUR APPLICATION IN ON TIME
The BSCF has published all exam dates for 2023/2024 (see below) and has previously stated that the 20 February 2024 assessment is the final date that the BSCF can guarantee assessment results in time for the 1 April 2024 BSR registration deadline.
Your application allows the BSCF team to assess a candidate’s suitability to sit a competence validation assessment. this requires significant input from the candidate but also requires the BSCF team to undertake a detailed review of your application, and so it’s not possible for the BSCF to accept last minute applications for assessment dates.
Are you planning to register with the BSR by 1 April deadline and looking to sit the 20 February 2024 BSCF assessment date?
Then you MUST submit your application in full (with all supporting documentation) by 5pm on Monday 1 January 2024.
All applications received after this date WILL NOT be processed in time to sit the 20 February 2024 assessment and therefore, will not receive their results in time to register at class 2, 3 or 4 with the BSR by 1 April 2024.
